Interagency Consultation
FICSA plays an important role in consultations with decision-makers at the interagency level. The Federation is the recognized representative of staff in the following bodies:

United Nations System Chief Executive Board for Coordination (CEB)
comprised of the Executive Heads of UN organizations -
High-Level Committee on Management (HLCM)
comprised of the senior-most officials with oversight responsibilities, and/or authorized by their Executive Heads to take decisions on their behalf -
HR Network
subsidiary body of HLCM, comprised of HR professionals -
Task Forces
subsidiary machinery of HLCM set up to consider specific issues, e.g. HIV/AIDS in the UN Workplace -
International Civil Service Commission (ICSC)
comprised of 15 Commissioners appointed by the UN General Assembly, the representatives of administrations and FICSA and the Coordinating Council for International Staff Unions and Associations (CCISUA)

Inter-Agency Security Management Network
comprised of officials of the Office of the UN Security Coordinator (UNSECOORD), and representatives of staff and administrations
The Federation has an observer seat at the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Board
The Federation addresses the Fifth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly
